Co-Curricular Activities

Unlocking Potential Through Co-Curricular Activities

Beyond the confines of traditional classroom learning, our school places a strong emphasis on a vibrant co-curriculum that complements academic pursuits. These activities encompass a diverse range of experiences, providing students with opportunities to explore and enhance their talents, skills, and interests.

Art and Craft

Art and Craft

Art and Craft classes are part of the curriculum for students of Classes III–VIII and form an integral component of holistic education. For higher classes, Art and Craft are conducted as hobby sessions.

Music and Dance

These two disciplines form an integral part of the curriculum. In music, students can choose between vocal and instrumental training. In dance, equal emphasis is placed on Indian and Western dance forms. Students of Class IX and above are exempted from this course.

Physical Training

Physical Training

Regular physical training sessions are conducted by qualified instructors to promote physical growth. Yoga is also included as a part of physical training. These exercises help students maintain a healthy body, improve stamina, and stay fit for various tasks.

Popular games at Vidyamandir include football, cricket, volleyball, basketball, kho-kho, badminton, and table tennis. Our school teams have performed exceptionally whenever they have participated. Frequent inter-house tournaments and the Annual School Sports Day instill discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship in students. Participation in sports is a compulsory part of the annual assessment.

Swimming

The school features a large swimming pool, enhancing the facilities available in sports and games. A pool water treatment plant ensures the water remains clean and algae-free. Swimming classes are conducted under the supervision of a qualified instructor, following a set class schedule.

Literary Activities

Literary Activities

Activities such as recitations, elocution, extempore speeches, debates, creative writing, poster making, and wall magazine creation are conducted regularly. These activities aim to develop the literary and oratory skills necessary for students' all-round development. Students also participate in conferences and competitions hosted by other schools.

Counseling

Counseling services provide professional support in areas such as emotional well-being, academic guidance, career planning, social skills, and collaboration with parents and teachers. Prevention programs and individual or group counseling sessions aim to create a nurturing environment that supports holistic student development. Regular motivational sessions help students overcome biases and strive toward personal growth and excellence.
